Ed Gillis has worked as a business consultant and private investor since January 2006. In 2009-2010, he was an Executive Adviser at Skype, where he was engaged by Silver Lake Partners in connection with that firm’s acquisition of Skype. Previously, Gillis was an interim Chief Financial Officer of Avaya Inc. He also served as Senior Vice President of Administration and Integration at Symantec Corporation and he has held Chief Financial Officer positions at Veritas Software Corporation, Parametric Technology Corporation, and Lotus Development Corporation. Before joining Lotus, Gillis was a Certified Public Accountant and Partner at Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. Since 2006, he has served as a director for a number of organizations, including Bladelogic Inc., Endeca, Inc., EqualLogic, Inc., LogMeIn Inc., Sophos Plc., and Teradyne Corporation. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from Clark University, a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
