AppNexus Affirms Commitment to Canadian Market: Appoints Canadian country manager, opening Canadian headquarters in Toronto

Digital ad executive Heather Forrester to lead Canadian commercial team. 

TORONTO - AppNexus, the world leader in real-time advertising technology, is opening its Canadian headquarters in Toronto and has appointed digital advertising executive Heather Forrester as Country Manager. Forrester is well known in the Canadian advertising community, having recently served as a key player on Google Canada’s retail vertical team, and will be responsible for the overall development and expansion of AppNexus’ business in Canada. 

Already a major player in the Canadian ad tech market, AppNexus was selected early this year by CBC/Radio-Canada, Rogers Media and Shaw Media to provide the ad technology for CPAX, the Canadian Premium Audience Exchange. Other important Canadian clients of AppNexus include the Globe and Mail; eyeReturn Marketing; Mediative, a division of Yellow Pages Group; Microsoft Advertising, Canada; Olive Media, a division of Torstar; and Redux Media. 

AppNexus has a strong Canadian connection through its President, Michael Rubenstein, who hails from Toronto, has a deep understanding of its business landscape and is instrumental in forging relationships with AppNexus clients in Canada. Rubenstein completed his BA at McGill University, and worked in Canada for a number of years before pursuing his MBA at Columbia.
